LEADERSHIP COACHING

Organizational Communication Consulting

Communication challenges can affect trust, engagement, workplace relationships, and performance. Dr. Betty Farmer helps organizations uncover what is happening beneath the surface and develop practical solutions tailored to your culture, people, and goals.

When Consulting Can Help:

  • Employees are receiving inconsistent information

  • Trust or engagement has declined

  • Workplace conflict is affecting performance

  • Feedback is being avoided or poorly handled

  • A major change or leadership transition is approaching

  • Employees do not feel heard, informed, or appreciated

  • Leaders need a clearer communication strategy

  • The organization needs evidence to guide its next steps

The Result:

A clearer understanding of your organization’s communication strengths, challenges, and opportunities—supported by practical recommendations your leaders can put into action.

Communication Assessments & Audits

Evaluate how information moves throughout the organization, how communication is experienced by employees, and where gaps may exist.

Employee Surveys

Gather meaningful feedback about workplace climate, engagement, satisfaction, leadership, appreciation, and other organizational priorities.

Interviews & Focus Groups

Give employees and leaders opportunities to share their experiences, concerns, and ideas in greater depth.

Strategic Communication Plans

Create a clear framework for communicating organizational goals, initiatives, and priorities consistently.

Organizational Change Communication

Help leaders communicate before, during, and after periods of change—reducing uncertainty and strengthening trust.

Crisis Communication Planning

Prepare leaders to communicate clearly, consistently, and confidently when challenging situations arise.

Leadership Transitions

Support communication during leadership changes and help new or transitioning leaders establish trust and credibility.

Talent Training and Development

Effective training should do more than share information. It should give people the confidence and tools to communicate differently when they return to work.

Dr. Betty Farmer designs engaging, research-informed learning experiences around the needs of each organization. Participants explore relevant workplace challenges, practice new approaches, and leave with strategies they can apply immediately.

The Result:

A clearer understanding of your organization’s communication strengths, challenges, and opportunities—supported by practical recommendations your leaders can put into action.

Leadership Coaching

Great leadership starts with self-awareness — understanding how you communicate, how others experience you, and how your strengths can help you navigate challenges more effectively.

Dr. Betty Farmer provides individualized leadership coaching for executives, managers, supervisors, and emerging leaders across a wide range of organizations — from corporations and small businesses to nonprofits, government agencies, educational institutions, and faith-based organizations.

Working one-on-one with a leadership coach provides a confidential, supportive space to focus entirely on you — your strengths, your opportunities for growth, your challenges, and your goals. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, each coaching experience is tailored to your individual needs and leadership environment.

Through coaching, you can discuss concerns openly, consider new approaches, and apply practical tools. You’ll build confidence, strengthen your leadership presence, and forge better relationships.

  • Navigate difficult conversations and workplace conflict

  • Give and receive feedback more effectively

  • Develop confidence and executive presence

Strengths Coaching

As a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, Dr. Farmer helps leaders understand and leverage their natural talents using the CliftonStrengths assessment. Coaching moves beyond simply identifying your strengths to exploring how you can intentionally apply them to leadership challenges, relationships, team development, and professional goals.

Emotional Intelligence Coaching

As a certified coach through the Institute for Social and Emotional Intelligence, Dr. Farmer helps leaders better understand how emotional intelligence influences their leadership effectiveness.

Using the Social + Emotional Intelligence Profile (SEIP), coaching can focus on areas such as self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, resilience, realistic optimism, personal power, and conflict management.

Communication & Presentation Coaching

Individual coaching is also available for leaders who want to become more confident and effective communicators. Sessions can focus on areas such as executive presence, public speaking, managing communication anxiety, message organization, nonverbal communication, vocal delivery, and communicating effectively in high-pressure situations, such as crisis and media interviews.

Coaching sessions are available virtually or in person and can be structured as individual sessions or an ongoing leadership development engagement.

Dr. Farmer believes better communication does more than solve immediate problems. It strengthens relationships, improves leadership, builds healthier cultures, and helps people do their best work.

Whether she is consulting with an organization, facilitating a workshop, or coaching an individual leader, her goal remains the same: to make growth practical, meaningful, and sustainable.
